I get asked a lot about my skin, and here's the truth: I don't have any big secrets. But I do have my grandma, who has looked young for as long as I can remember. She taught me a lot about skin care, and her biggest belief has always been sleeping in Vaseline every single night. It works for her—her skin is beautiful. Her approach kind of sums up my own: keep it simple.
Preventative Botox has never been my thing, but preventative skin care absolutely is. I've used eye cream since my twenties, even before I technically "needed" it. Sunscreen is something I try to remember, but I'm not perfect about it. I'm pretty loyal to Jan Marini products and I don't switch things up too often. When you find something that works, I think there's value in staying with it. Why fix what isn't broken? One difference is that I use retinol now, but overall my philosophy is less about stacking products and more about consistency.
Where I do invest more intentionally is in treatments and facials. For a long time, I wasn't making time for them, and I really felt it. I recently did the InstaFacial with Dr. Jason Diamond, which was a mix of laser, microneedling, and PRP. (Not relaxing, for the record!) I hadn't done anything like that in years. When I was younger, I'd do treatments like that and think, "Hmm, I don't really see a difference." Now I see the payoff, especially in skin texture. I also love facials that focus on muscle work. FaceGym has face-massage treatments that seem to also help my TMJ. To me, facials are both maintenance and a treat, which makes them easier to prioritize.
