Our just-spooky-enough Halloween display

Whenever I want to decorate for Halloween, I always turn to Pottery Barn. Their holiday collections never miss, and I've enjoyed adding to my collection over time. (And yes, I have the stuffed storage unit to prove it!) This year, the Pottery Barn Halloween decorations are especially pretty and chic. I thought I'd share how I put it all together to decorate our home in a just-spooky-enough way.

You know me… I love a restrained palette, so that's where we start. The most color comes from the pumpkins, and even then, I go for pumpkins in white and more muted tones. Pottery Barn sent me some of these woven vine pumpkins, which I use indoor and outdoor. I like to layer them with real pumpkins to add a little more visual interest. We have a lot of trees, so we decorated them with ghosts that float in the breeze. Obviously, bats at the entryway and floating witch hats are a must.

I've always loved Halloween, but decorating together as a family makes the season even more special. We made an afternoon of decorating outside, and the girls had lots of fun (and opinions on how *exactly* to position the decorations). And now that our yard is nice and "haunted," all that's left to do is count down the nights until trick-or-treat!

1/ I love the rustic feel of these woven pumpkins.
2/Only thing better than a skeleton? One that lights up.
3/Ghosts that feel spooky, not scary!
4/Can't find green pumpkins near you? These are faux, but look convincingly real.
